  • Photos or videos of children

  • Social media profiles

  • Contact information for friends

  • With parents/guardians who have access to their child's account

    • Google Gemini Large Language Model (voice and chat requests and responses)

    • Neon database hosting (personably identifiable information for students, teachers as well as lesson content)

    • Auth0 for user authentication (emails and passwords, authentication tokens)

We never:

  • Sell personal information to third parties

  • Use personal information for marketing purposes

  • Share chat histories or learning data with unauthorised parties

AI Content Limitations and Risks

We want to be transparent about the limitations and risks of our AI technology:

Content Generation Limitations

  • While we implement various safety measures and content filters, we cannot always guarantee that all AI-generated responses will be age-appropriate

  • The AI may occasionally:

    • Generate unexpected or inappropriate content

    • Provide incorrect information

    • Misunderstand context or questions

    • Produce responses that may be confusing or unsettling for children

Safety Measures and Parental Oversight

  • We strongly recommend parent/guardian supervision during AI interactions

  • We maintain human oversight of the system, but cannot review all interactions in real-time

Content Filtering

  • We employ multiple layers of content filtering and real-time alerting to inappropriate content or interactions

  • However, these filters may not catch all inappropriate content

  • The sophisticated nature of AI means it may find ways to bypass filters

  • We regularly update our safety systems but cannot guarantee 100% effectiveness

Reporting and Response

  • Users can report inappropriate content immediately by emailing hello@flyingcolourseducation.co.uk

  • We investigate all reports within 24 hours

  • We may temporarily suspend AI interactions during these investigations

Parental Rights

Parents/guardians have the right to:

  • Request deletion of their child's personal information

  • Refuse further collection of their child's personal information
